1st day of 4th yr uni life, din get to know any local students yet, n so sick of starting classes, tutorials, lectures n workshops. Really hate to concentrate on doing something. Is really very tiring!!
Hey, now only i know Amber Chia is actually from Sabah! Haha.. so proud of being a sabahan!! kaka.. Ok, i knew it after reading someone's bulletin in friendster. So, the bulletin sounds as below: (btw, i dunno how true is it, cause some i really not sure about that, but i think most r really the truth except abt the football one, i m not too sure! Jus copy, n paste it here.)
Author: unknown, very likely is a Sabahan
Have you ever asked or heard people asking, whether Sabahans still live on the jungle, hunt forfood andwear clothing made out of leaves? If I was asked so, I would proudly say yes.(Cubaimagine Marsha AF2 pakai Nipah leaves skirtsama Coconut bra) hehe..
When you as a Sabahan start to feel low justbecause you’re from Sabah, these facts wouldmake you change your mind:
We have the second largest International airport inMalaysia. While other’s might not even have any.
We have three major airports, while others mightnot have one
Car fuel is the cheapest here.
We have two official cities, KK and Sandakan andsoon Tawau, while others might only have a town.
We are still the reason why tourist comes toMalaysia, for our mount Kinabalu.
Two out of the top three of the sexiest girl inMalaysia are from Sabah(Daphne Iking and AmberChia) according to FHM.
The whole Philippine country doesn’t envy Malaysia. They envy Sabah.
Sipadan Island, need I explain?
Everybody say’s Mokhtar Dahari is the mainreason Malaysian football team qualified for the Olympics, football event in the 80’s. With all due respect, the two goals are scored by Hassan Saniand James Wong, both Sabahan. Not forgetting the man who kept Malaysia at bay, Peter Rajah, also aSabahan as the goalie.
The most air travelers are from Sabah. Almost allSabahan have at least traveled once or twice withairplane, compared to the west Malaysians.
We have our own daily newspaper, Daily Expressand Sabah Times.
Every time there’s a reality show, our contestantalways reaches respectful level. AF, Blast-Off etc. We live in harmony, not just with Malay, Indian andChinese, but also with Kadazan, Dusun, Bajau, Murut, Rungus etc. The term Sabah truly Asia ismore like it.
Most of us Sabahan speaks at least 4 differentlanguage.
This is just to name a few, but despite all this, we are still proud to be Malaysian.
Happy belated SABAH Day! (16 September 2006)
